Aftercare Instructions for Body Art Makeup
 
The best results can only be achieved by adhering to proper care following a semi-permanent makeup treatment. To achieve this, kindly take note of the following post-care instructions and keep them handy.
 
During the healing process, should you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out and call the salon for assistance.
 
For Microblading and Permanent Makeup procedures in all areas, it is important to follow these daily care steps for 10-14 days:
  • Keep the area clean and dry until it is fully healed. Avoid getting it wet in the bath or shower.
  • Gently clean the area using a damp cotton pad, pat it dry with a tissue and apply a small amount of A&D First Aid All Purpose Ointment using a cotton bud twice daily.
  • Refrain from exercise, running, or sweating.
  • Avoid swimming pools, gyms, hot tubs, steam rooms, and saunas.
  • Do not pick, peel, scratch, or rub the area. Allow all color to flake away by itself.
  • Refrain from direct sun, tanning treatments, or self-tanning until fully healed.
For additional care for eyebrows:
  • Do not apply makeup or moisturizer on or near the area.
  • Avoid beauty treatments such as facials, eyebrow tinting, waxing, electrolysis, laser hair removal, lamination, or extensions.
  • Refrain from using eyebrow serums for at least 4 weeks.
For additional care for eyeliner:
  • Do not apply makeup or moisturizer on or near the area.
  • Avoid beauty treatments such as facials, eyelash tinting, perming, lifting, extensions (including strip lashes), or serums for at least 4 weeks.
  • Wear sunglasses when outside.
  • Refrain from using contact lenses for 24 hours.
  • Use only new mascara after the 2-week period.
For additional care for lips:
  • Do not apply makeup or moisturizer on or near the area.
  • Avoid beauty treatments such as facials.
  • Apply A&D First Aid All Purpose Ointment or Microbalm morning and night and lightly coated Vaseline regularly.
  • Avoid eating spicy and salty foods.
  • Drink through a straw.
  • Refrain from kissing on the lips.
  • Use Vaseline when brushing your teeth.
  • Refrain from using lip plumping products and lip filler procedures.
It is essential to remember that the process after microblading, medical tattooing, and permanent makeup is unique to each individual, and everyone's skin will heal differently.
 
The HEAL, PEEL, FADE process typically takes 28 days and involves:
  • DAYS 1-7 (HEAL) – The area begins to dry out, forming a light crust.
  • DAYS 7-14 (PEEL) – The crust begins to flake away.
  • DAYS 14-21 (FADE) – The new skin underneath looks light and the color looks faded.
  • DAYS 21-28 (RESULT) – The new skin heals, and you begin to see the healed result.
By adhering to these instructions, you will have the best possible outcome from your semi-permanent makeup treatment.
